Infrastructure
Infrastructure
Decision Ready hosts its applications in state-of-the-art SSAE-16 SOC 2 Type II compliant data centers – 2 in Irvine, CA, and Denver, CO. The primary facility in Irvine boasts fully redundant power with diesel generators for backup, diverse paths, providers for Internet access, and multi-tiered reliable security services. The Irvine Facility also provides clients with industry-leading physical environment control features and increased capacity & scalability to meet their growth needs.
Physical Security
The site is designed with comprehensive access and security policies for protection of infrastructure and systems. These policies and procedures, optimized and certified with SAS 70 Type II Compliance, provide our customers with complete peace of mind in knowing their mission critical IT environment is secure. Key features of the security system include:
- Onsite Security Personnel 24x7x365
- Onsite 24x7x365 Network Operations Center, which monitors all external and internal security
- Closed circuit television security system throughout the data center
- Combination proximity card and photo identification system required to gain access to facility
Cooling Infrastructure
The data center has deployed a flexible HVAC design that supports the cooling requirements necessary for a truly high-density IT platform. The data center uses DataAire HVAC (High Volume Air Conditioning) equipment to support the cooling load requirements. The air is circulated under 18" raised flooring and perforated tiles, using a hot aisle / cold aisle containment method for optimum efficiency. The HVAC system maintains optimum temperature (68/F +/-2/F) and humidity levels. The air is filtered continuously for contaminants, providing additional protection to equipment and reducing the resources needed to maintain overheated equipment, hardware replacement, and equipment cleaning.
Power Infrastructure
The data centers offer a premier power system to provide our clients with continuous, redundant, and protected power. Our data centers are built with N+1 redundancy and proven solid and reliable power architecture. The components of this implementation protect against such power anomalies and events as brownouts, blackouts, and surges or spikes in power.
Features and functions of our power infrastructure include:
Dual Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS): Our dual UPS System delivers clean, consistent power. The UPS system comprises rectifiers, inverters, and batteries and is designed to maintain constant control of all equipment in the data center, regardless of the power source.
Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS): The automatic transfer switch (ATS) senses any significant interruption of power from the Utility Source. When an interruption is detected, the ATS immediately activates the onsite generator, feeding power to the UPS. A surplus supply of diesel fuel is stored onsite to fuel the generator for an extended period if necessary. Additionally, fueling contracts with local fuel companies ensure that the power needs of the entire data center will be served without interruption.
Load Testing: The data centers perform routine system testing monthly to ensure full functionality.
Fire Protection
Ensuring that the facility is protected from fire is vital to the security of your business. Fire protection is a three-pronged approach: fire prevention, detection, and suppression.
Fire Prevention: Part of the design of the data centers, specific limitations on amp usage and BTU output in each cabinet, cage, and rack reduce the risk of electrical fires in the data center. We also control the flow of cooled air using ventilated floor tiles to ensure consistent temperatures throughout the data center. We enforced a prohibition on cardboard and other flammable materials.
Fire Detection: The data center utilizes the industry-leading Very Early Smoke Detection Alarm (VESDA) system to detect smoke and fire. VESDA Aspirating smoke detection technology offers the earliest possible warning of a potential fire VESDA works by continually drawing air into the system's pipe network via a highly efficient aspirator. A sample of the air passes through a dual-stage filtering system. The sample goes to a calibration detection chamber laser light source from the filter. When smoke is detected, it communicates this information to a fire alarm control panel via a software management system of the Network Operations Center (NOC).
Load Testing: The data centers perform routine system testing monthly to ensure full functionality.
Data Solutions
Interfaces
The Decision Ready platforms supports multiple mechanisms for bi-directional data exchange with bank systems. Decision Ready Technology supports web services queries from other bank systems to perform most functions such as, Relationship Manager Assignment, Relationship Manager Lookup and Integrated Servicing Record (ISR) update. The technology also supports a nightly bi-directional data feed to perform the above functions in batch.
Centralized Repository
The ISR is the centralized repository that not only stores loan level data but also houses the details on each loan level activity through the various default departments. Data from multiple systems, documents, emails and checklist values are stored in a relational database.
Multiple Views
The ISR supports multiple views into the loan level activity detail. Standard views that are supported out of the box include the servicing associate, team lead, site manager, quality control specialist and internal/external auditors roles.
Transparency
The technology facilitates transparency of information across all users by pulling information from multiple servicing systems into a centralized location.
Versioned data storage
The rules, checklists and loan level data is versioned each time a decision or process step is performed. This allows auditors and managers to review the file in the same state as when the activity was actually performed.
